The Cargo terminal is operated as an integrated part of the airport and not a third party handling company, which is very unusual in Sweden. This provides several advantages as the airport company is not only a neutral partner but has full control over the entire supply chain, from landside delivery to aircraft loading.

Jonkoping is an ideal geographical location for logistic operations of all kinds. The Airport is only 7 minutes away from the E4 motorway which goes north to Stockholm and south to Malmö/Copenhagen and 3 minutes away from the R40 to Gothenburg.
Since 2006 the airport has developed as one of the important air freight cargo hubs in Sweden due to this unique turnkey approach to cargo and the geographical location and excellent connectivity.

This will further improve with the opening of a new two lane motorway standard on parts of R40 in 2010.

At the Jonkoping Airport Cargo Terminal a range of logistics services are provided which do not need to be connected to air freight such as the handling of palletized and loose deliveries , handling of special cargo, consolidation and de-consolidation services, import-export terminal service sand the arrangement of distribution within Sweden and throughout Scandinavia.

From January 2010 new larger cargo facilities will include a 600 m2 temperature controlled warehouse capacity with a further 1500m2 storage capacity for overflow and non-sensitive cargo.

Jonkoping Airport Cargo Terminal can handle cargo aircraft up to and including Boeing 767s and Airbus 330s, with a 24/7 operation (on request).
