Charter to Split - a long-awaited comeback!
When the season's first charter departure to Split took off from Jönköping last Friday, it was a long-awaited comeback. Before the pandemic, Ving flew four departures each year from Jönköping, and now it was time again.**
-Great to finally be able to offer direct flights to Croatia from Jönköping again. A popular destination that has been missing in recent years. Therefore, it is particularly gratifying that this season Ving is flying a total of seven departures to this gem on the Adriatic Sea, says Henrik Älverdal, Commercial Manager Jönköping Airport.
It was a premiere that was celebrated in festive ways by the airport. All travelers were treated to ice cream - Pear split of course - and in the Gateshop the travelers could shop from the entire range with a 10% discount on the already low prices. In addition, this was the first time that the airline BRA's charter flight painted with "BRAATHENS" landed at Jönköping Airport. This was celebrated as it should be with a water cascade from the airport's emergency services as the plane taxied towards its staging area.
There is no doubt that the response from the market has been very good. Friday's flight departed fully loaded and the last two departures of the season (September 15 and 22) are already sold out. Those who want to extend the summer with one of the upcoming departures should not wait too long to book, or alternatively hope for a cancellation on one of the last ones.
