New destination! Charter to Tunisia from Jönköping next year

With a week left until Christmas Eve, an early Christmas present arrives from Jönköping Airport and Detur. Next year, the charter organizer offers direct flights from Jönköping to Tunisia. Altogether, there are three departures in July and two in October.

During the autumn, Detur carried out two charter departures from Jönköping. One to Cyprus and one to Rhodes. The departures were popular and now they are making another investment from the Småland airport. The flights to Tunisia go to Monastir with the Tunisian airline Nouvelair and its Airbus 320, with space for 180 passengers.

  • Tunisia is my personal favorite destination and in my eyes cannot be described with any other word than MAGICAL. Thanks to Jönköping Airport's great commitment, the choice of Jönköping as the departure point for this new and large charter venture was easy. Without the airport's support, the autumn departures would never have been the success they were. We therefore look forward with anticipation to continuing to develop the charter range from Jönköping, says Mattias Hallén, Sweden manager Detur.

During your holiday in Tunisia, you can enjoy days filled with sun and swimming interspersed with colorful local markets. Here you are met by the delicious Tunisian food and a very warm and welcoming people. Tunisia is also an excellent destination for those interested in history and offers many historical sights to explore.

In many places, Tunisia is reminiscent of the Greek island of Santorini. For example, in the beautiful and popular village of Sidi Bou Said, a couple of miles east of the capital Tunis, where the houses are white, the roofs are blue and the doors are colorful.

-This will be very exciting. Tunisia is a completely new destination for us and will be a welcome addition to our charter program. The Swedish charter offer to Tunisia is relatively small at the moment, so that we can offer smooth departures from Jönköping means that we will certainly expand our catchment area. It would not surprise me if we will welcome travelers from all over southern Sweden, says Henrik Älverdal, commercial manager Jönköping Airport.

The premiere flight to Tunisia takes off from Jönköping at lunchtime, Wednesday 25 June, and two more departures await, on 2 and 9 July. Later this autumn, Detur offers two more departures, on October 22 and 29.
