High interest in charter flights to Cyprus
There is immense interest in Ving’s autumn departures from Jönköping to Cyprus. With over four months remaining until the inaugural flight, the first departure is essentially already sold out! Those who haven't yet secured a spot can now look at hotel options for the second departure, which coincides with the autumn school break.
It was in late January that the tour operator Ving launched two departures from Jönköping—scheduled for October 20 and 27—using its own airline, Sunclass Airlines. Following high expectations for Ving’s expanded operations in Jönköping, the airport is now delighted by the positive response.
"It’s absolutely incredible and fantastic news! I can’t recall ever having a departure sell out this far in advance. At the same time, I’m not entirely surprised. Convenient departure times, a reliable tour operator, and a sun-assured destination with warm temperatures well into the autumn are all factors pointing to success," says Henrik Älverdal, Commercial Director at Jönköping Airport.
Cyprus is one of three destinations Ving is offering from Jönköping this summer. Direct flights to Mallorca operate on Tuesdays until June 17, and only a few seats remain for those trips as well. Direct flights to Rhodes will run every Sunday from August 10 to September 14, plus a single departure on October 1—also to Rhodes. All flights are operated by Sunclass Airlines using their Airbus A321 aircraft.
