TUI cancels departures to Tenerife

From the beginning, it was intended that TUI would offer departures from Jönköping to Tenerife from 17 October 2018 to 20 April 2019. Now the charter organizer announces that it is canceling all departures from 19 January 2019. In total there are 14 departures.

The reason for the decision is said to be that the destination sold worse than expected. This, in turn, was largely rooted in the past summer, which was very hot and sunny even in Sweden.

• Of course sad for everyone who had planned to fly from Jönköping. We know that many people appreciate being able to travel from their nearest airport and really regret the decision, says Henrik Älverdal, Marketing Manager at Jönköping Airport.
  However, the airport wishes to point out that departures to Gran Canaria are not affected by the decision. TUI offers trips to Gran Canaria with departures on Thursdays (together with VING) up to and including 18 April 2019 and also Fridays up to and including 19 April 2019.
