Southern operating area and New building B29 - summer 2020
To improve efficiency as well as to increase safety with vehicles moving around the airport, the entire operating area for vehicles and machinery has been relocated. The new site is along the southern part of the runway, while the old area is to be demolished and made room for, for example, new hangar buildings. A new fuel plant has been built on the new operating area, where we also prepared to be able to deliver biofuel to the airlines.

Turning zones lane 01/19 - autumn 2019
In order to be approved to handle larger flights than previously possible, it is required to be classified as a code 4E airport in accordance with EASA's (European Aviation Safety Agency) criteria. In the fall of 2019, we built turning zones at each end of the runway and widened the taxiway into the stands. We have therefore upgraded the airport to a 4E airport and can e.g. accommodate flights of the order of B767, B787 and A330.
